The City of Burnsville will be buzzing this weekend. It is the 3rd annual Community Wide Garage Sale! Homeowners in Burnsville can participate on Friday, Saturday or both. The City of Burnsville is providing maps of the participating homes that can be picked up at various locations including the City Hall and Burnhaven Library. You can also download a map of the garage sales by clicking here. If you are a proud garage saler, you won’t want to miss this! There are over 80 different sales scheduled this weekend in Burnsville alone.

Appliance/Electronics Drop-Off Event in Burnsville:
When: Saturday, May 22, 2010, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Where: City of Burnsville Maintenance Facility, 13713 Frontier Court
Items Accepted:
 $7 for appliances such as washers, dryers, ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, trash compactors, water heaters, air conditioners and water softeners.
 $15-$20 for electronics such as computers, monitors and televisions.
 $2 for other residential electronics, such as stereos, radios, DVD players, etc.
 No charge for battery backups, computer keyboards, cell phones, tools,
lawn mowers and pressure washers (fluids must be drained).
 Bicycles in any condition will be collected at no charge by
Re-Cycle to be refurbished or disassembled for parts.
Items NOT Accepted: hazardous waste,
furniture, construction/demolition
materials, mattresses, scrap
metal, tires.

So this weekend alone, you can get your spring cleaning done and dispose of old items as well as picking up a few cost effective gently-used items for your home!
